§ 30.01 ELECTION, TERM, AUTHORITY.
   The members of the Village Board of Trustees shall be elected and serve for a four-year term as is provided by statute. The Village Board shall be the legislative division of the village government and shall perform such duties and have such powers as may be authorized by statute.
