4-1-1: CONTAGIOUS DISEASES:
   A.   Duty To Report: Every physician, nurse, owner, lessee or keeper of any hotel or lodging house, and every person who has knowledge of any person in or upon any premises who may be suffering from, or expected to be suffering from, or afflicted with acute infectious poliomyelitis, cholera, cerebrospinal fever, scarlet fever, smallpox, typhus fever, diphtheria, whooping cough, yellow fever, venereal disease or any other reportable disease, specified by the state department of health, must immediately report the same, to the director of public health and safety.    B.   Premises: The director of public health and safety shall, immediately upon receipt of a reportable disease, visit, or cause to be visited, the premises and shall affix, in a conspicuous place at the outside entrance of the premises, the warning placard required by the state department of health. Interference with or defacement of such placards or their removal by other than the proper authorized person is prohibited. (Village code § 18-10; amd. Ord. O-7-10, 2-8-2010)
   C.   Quarantine: Quarantine must be strictly enforced and observed according to the requirements of the state department of public health for the control of such diseases. Quarantine shall not be terminated without the permission of the director of public health and safety, or the state department of public health. (Village code § 18-11; amd. Ord. O-7-10, 2-8-2010)
   D.   Disinfecting Required: After the removal or death of any person infected with any such disease, the infected premises, contents and inmates must be thoroughly disinfected in a manner prescribed by the state department of public health, by or under the direction of the director of public health and safety.    E.   Removal Of Diseased Persons: No person having any of the diseases enumerated in this section, shall be removed from premises on which he is found, except by permission of the director of public health and safety or the state department of public health.
