(A) The taximeter fare for taxicabs shall be computed by a taximeter, and shall not exceed in any case the fare computed on the following basis:
(1) For the first 1/6-mile, $ .65.
(2) For each additional 1/3-mile, $.20.
(3) Waiting time, per hour, $6.00.
(B) However, the initial charge or meter trip shall not exceed $.65 and each succeeding charge or meter drop shall not exceed $.20.
(C) Applications for the establishment of special trip rates shall be made to the City Manager, and shall be used only with his approval. The City Manager may approve the use of special trip rates for such period of time as public convenience and necessity shall justify.
