(A) The information submitted on the application and the accompanying documentation shall be verified by the city, including a criminal background check.
(B) If the applicant is shown to have furnished false information or documentation, or to have been convicted of any crime of theft, fraud or deception, any sex-offense crime, any domestic violence crime, or any felony drug offense, the application may be rejected. The rejection of the application shall be given in writing, setting forth specifically the grounds for the rejection and the appeal procedure.
(C) Upon finding that an application is correct and complete and payment received, the permit shall be issued. The permit for the time period requested by the applicant or for one year, whichever is less. A list of permit applications shall be kept in accordance with the adopted record retention schedule.
