(A) Registration required. All owners, keepers or harborers of dogs, subject to the requirements of R.C. Chapter 955, shall register such dogs with the County Auditor within the time required, and shall furnish proof of registration upon request of any code enforcement or police officer.
(B) Tags. All dogs shall wear a current metal tag, issued by the County Auditor, as proof of current registration.
(C) Failure to produce proof. Failure to produce proof of registration is punishable by a fine of $150.00. Failure to obtain or produce proof of registration within four business days of an initial citation is punishable by a fine of $150.00, and a mandatory court appearance.
