§ 96.13 RABIES INOCULATION.
   (A)   Inoculation required. All owners or keepers of dogs and cats, four months or older within the city shall cause the same to be inoculated by a reputable veterinarian to prevent the communication of rabies. The owner or keeper shall furnish proof of inoculation upon request of any code enforcement or police officer.
   (B)   Tags. All dogs shall wear a current metal tag as proof of inoculation.
   (C)   Failure to produce proof. Failure to produce proof of inoculation is punishable by a fine of $250.00. Failure to obtain or produce proof of an inoculation within four business days of an initial citation is punishable by a fine of $250.00, and a mandatory court appearance.
