§ 95.18 PERMIT AND ANNUAL INSPECTION REQUIRED FOR TYPE A AND B DAYCARE AND GROUP HOMES.
   (A)   The Fire Chief or Fire Prevention Officer of the municipal corporation in which a Type A home day care, Type B home day care or group home is located shall annually conduct a fire safety inspection for compliance with the City of Forest Park Fire Prevention Code. Upon completion and determining the Type A, Type B or group home is in compliance, a permit shall be issued and remain in effect for one year.
   (B)   Definitions. For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      GROUP HOME. A facility housing any group of persons living together not as family members in a single housekeeping unit. The group home will have a staff member present.
      TYPE A HOME DAY CARE. A permanent residence of the administrator in which child day-care is provided for seven to 12 children at one time.
      TYPE B HOME DAY CARE. A permanent residence of the administrator in which child day-care is provided for one to six children at one time.
   (C)   Penalty. Any person violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a minor misdemeanor for the first offense and be fined not more than $100. Unless specifically stated elsewhere in this chapter, each and every day during which a violation of this chapter occurs shall be deemed a separate offense.
