The 2006 Edition of The International Fire Code is amended as follows:
(A) Section 105.8, add the following: “Permit fees shall be in accordance with Chapter 156 of the Forest Park Code of Ordinances, and shall be deposited in and made part of the special fire fund”.
(B) Section C105.1 shall read: “the standard spacing for fire hydrants in the Forest Park District shall be 350 feet between hydrants”.
(C) Section 507.2.1, add the following: “All underground valves controlling fire protection system water supplies installed after April 1, 2011, shall be made accessible by installation in a concrete vault (valves pit) equipped with a sump pump or gravity discharge. All buried valves installed prior to April 1, 2011, and which are thereafter excavated for servicing or repair are highly recommended to be reinstalled in a concrete vault (valve pit)”.
