§ 36.44 PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS.
   The candidate shall be required to pass a physical examination, and shall be certified as qualified in such respect before appointment unless the candidate has successfully passed a physical examination within the last six (6) months prior to his/her appointment; a copy of the results of said physical examination must be provided to the Human Resources office prior to the candidate's appointment. Any employee of the city who desires to transfer to a highly physically demanding position within the classified service of the city may be required to successfully pass another physical examination.
   (A)   Where a physical examination is required, that requirement shall be published in the examination notice.
   (B)   When required by the city, an applicant must furnish the certificate of a licensed physician who has personal knowledge, either from medical treatment or from examination, as to the applicant's physical condition.
   (C)   In all physical examinations, the city reserves the right to designate the examining licensed physician, whose report shall be final.
