SEC. 5.04 SOLICITOR.
   The Solicitor shall be appointed by Council. He must be an Attorney at Law admitted to practice in the State of Ohio and shall be a resident of Hamilton County. His salary shall be established by Council by ordinance. The Solicitor may be removed by Council. He shall be the legal advisor of and attorney and counsel for the Municipality and for all officers and departments thereof in all matters relating to their official duties; and shall, when requested, give legal opinions in writing. He shall represent the Municipality in all litigations to which it may be a party and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to the office of Solicitor by law as well as those imposed by this Charter. He shall on request prepare all contracts, bonds and other instruments in writing in which the Municipality is concerned and shall endorse on each, his approval of the form and corrections thereof. Council shall have the right to employ additional legal counsel.
