§ 151.16  REGISTRATION AND FEES.
   (A)   Registration.  Every sign, unless otherwise exempt by operation of this chapter, shall be registered with the Building Official by the person maintaining the same.  A permit must be obtained from the City Building Official to erect a sign of non- exempt status.  No permit shall be granted until an application has been filed with the Building Official showing the plans and specifications, including dimensions, materials and details of construction for the proposed sign, nor until all the provisions of this chapter relating to such a sign shall have complied with, nor until the prescribed fees have been paid for such permit.
   (B)   Fees.
      (1)   The fee for such permits shall be $175 for a sign permit application which contains one sign. An additional $50 will be charged for each additional sign on the application.
      (2)   For any sign having an area in excess of 25 square feet there shall be an additional fee of $10 per each square foot of additional area.
      (3)   Double-faced signs shall be considered two separate signs at the same location for the purpose of assessing permit fees only.
