1. No person shall keep, shelter, or harbor any dangerous animal as a pet, or act as a temporary custodian for such animal, or keep, shelter, or harbor such animal for any purpose or in any capacity within the City.
2. This prohibition does not apply to the keeping of dangerous animals in the following circumstances:
A. The keeping of dangerous animals in a bona fide educational institution, museum or other place where they are kept as live specimens for the public to view, or for the purpose of instruction or study;
B. The keeping of dangerous animals for exhibition to the public by circus, carnival, exhibit, show, or pet shop;
C. The keeping of dangerous animals in a bona fide, licensed veterinarian hospital for treatment.
