§ 99.04 EXCEPTION IN EMERGENCY.
   Any entity having a legal right to maintain utility lines, poles, and the like, serving the city or any emergency services department shall have the right to remove/trim trees, without the approval of the Urban Forest Commission, when an emergency exists. All such entities shall have the right to trim trees for the purpose of ensuring continuous service, or to avoid danger to the public, their personnel or equipment. However, the entity shall contact the Urban Forest Commission through the City Public Services Department before beginning non-emergency tree trimming operations.
