§ 70A.01 DEFINITIONS.
   (A)   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      (1)   "TRUCK TRACTOR." Any motor-propelled vehicle designed to draw and to support the front end of a semi-trailer.
      (2)   "SEMI-TRAILER." A vehicle designed to be attached to, and having its front end supported by, a motor truck or truck tractor, intended for the carrying of freight or merchandise and having a load capacity of over 1,500 pounds.
      (3)   "TRAILER." Any vehicle designed to be drawn by a motor vehicle or truck tractor, but supported wholly upon its own wheels, intended for the carriage of freight or merchandise, and having a load capacity of over 1,000 pounds.
      (4)   "PERSON." Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind.
   (B)   For the purpose of this chapter the term "TRUCK" or "TRUCKS" shall mean and include those vehicles described as "TRUCK-TRACTOR", "SEMI-TRAILER" and "TRAILER" in division (A) hereof.
