§ 30.05 VICE-MAYOR.
   (A)   Pursuant to KRS 83A.130(5), there is hereby created the position of Vice-Mayor. The Vice-Mayor shall be a member of Council who shall preside at meetings of Council in the absence of the Mayor.
      (1)   The Vice-Mayor shall be the member of Council who received the largest number of votes in the general election at which all members of the City Council of which the Vice-Mayor is a part were elected.
      (2)   The term of office of the Vice-Mayor shall be two years and shall correspond to the terms of the members of Council elected at the time of election of the Vice-Mayor.
   (B)   If a vacancy should occur in the position of Vice-Mayor, the member of Council who received the second largest number of votes in such election shall fill the position for the remainder of the term of office.
