§ 53.04 WATER LEAK ADJUSTMENTS TO BILLINGS.
   (A)   There shall be no reduction or adjustment in water or sanitary sewer charges/billings due to water leaks within a residential unit that is detectable by ordinary means or methods. However, if water leak is underground between the residential unit and the city's supply water main and the leak is not reasonably detectable, the customers/owners billing is eligible for adjustment consideration by 50% of excess water consumption over the customer's average usage at the difference between the city's water and sewer costs and it's retail rate.
   (B)   Before any adjustment can be granted, the customer/owner must complete a form and submit it with proof the leak has been repaired to the Finance Director for consideration of whether the adjustment request should be approved. Water customers/owners are eligible for only one rate adjustment due to a water leak in a 12 month period.
