§ 91.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ANIMAL. Both the male and female sex of either wild or domesticated species.
   AT LARGE. Off the premises of the owner and not under the control of the owner or some other person. An animal shall not be deemed AT LARGE if it is attached to a leash of sufficient strength to restrain the animal or when properly restrained within a motor vehicle, or if accompanied by a person who exercises control over the animal at all times.
   CAT. Any feline animal, male or female, sexed or neutered.
   DOG. Any canine animal, male or female, sexed or neutered.
   NON-VENOMOUS REPTILES. Includes, but is not limited to, boa constrictors, anacondas, African rock pythons, and reticulated pythons.
   OWNER. Any person owning, harboring, sheltering, or keeping an animal. The occupant of any premises on which an animal remains or to which it customarily returns daily for a period of ten days is presumed to be harboring, sheltering, or keeping an animal within this definition.
   VENOMOUS REPTILES. Includes, but is not limited to, rattlesnakes, copperhead snakes, cottonmouth moccasin snakes, waggler vipers, and palm vipers.
   VICIOUS DOG. A dog which constitutes a physical threat to human beings or other animals, by virtue of one or more attacks, has caused injury or which has placed a person in reasonable apprehension of bodily harm.
