There is hereby adopted by reference by the city of Flora, Illinois, a certain electrical code known as the "national electrical code" adopted by the National Fire Protection Association and approved by the national board of fire underwriters, 2017 edition, as amended and revised and any amendments thereto. The same is hereby adopted and incorporated herein as though set out in full and from the date of which this chapter has been approved by the city council of the city of Flora, Illinois, shall be controlling in the installation, alteration and use of electrical equipment within the city and on any city property that may be located outside the corporate limits. Any part of said code which may be in conflict with this chapter is hereby superseded. It shall be unlawful for any person to use any electrical device that does not comply with said code as to safety and adequacy. (Ord. 02-1707, 2-19-2002; Ord. 08-2204, 11-17-2008; amd.
