The Town Council and Mayor shall be elected on a nonpartisan basis and the results determined by the primary method as provided by G.S. § 163-294; provided that if the City of Hendersonville is scheduled to hold a primary on the sixth Tuesday before the election under G.S. § 163-279(a)(2), the nonpartisan primary in the Town of Fletcher shall be on that date.
