The therapeutic application of massage is one of the oldest healing arts known to humankind, a practice which can provide many benefits to an individual’s state of health and well-being. In the interest of public health, safety, welfare and morals, and to protect the public from unqualified practitioners and unethical businesses, privilege license provisions and regulations specified in this chapter are hereby adopted.
