§ 111.001 CONSTRUCTION OF CHAPTER.
This chapter is to be construed to require an application and the payment of the associated fee allowed under its terms for business activities involving solicitation either door-to-door or on town streets by a business entity or person. This regulation is to protect our citizens and to help ensure they are treated professionally and with respect by salespersons of all types and at all times. Issuance of a permit pursuant to this chapter does not excuse an applicant from compliance with any other applicable ordinance or statute. In addition, this chapter does not prevent the town from imposing permit fees on additional businesses or from increasing or decreasing the amount of any business registration fee or permit.
