The penalty for violation of §§ 33.45 through 33.47 by any city official, officer or employee shall be a fine not to exceed $500.00 and/or confinement in the county jail not to exceed 12 months or both, and conviction thereunder shall be good cause for removal from office in accordance with KRS 83A.040.
