§ 31.36 CITY CLERK-TREASURER.
   (A)   The city hereby establishes the office of City Clerk-Treasurer.
   (B)   The duties and responsibilities of the City Clerk-Treasurer shall include, but are not limited to the following:
      (1)   Maintenance and safeguarding of the permanent records of the city;
      (2)   Performance of the duties required of the "official custodian" or "custodian" pursuant to KRS 61.870 through 61.882;
      (3)   Possession of the seal of the city if used;
      (4)   No later than January 31 of each year, mail or electronically submit to the Department for Local Government a list containing current city information including but not limited to:
         (a)   The correct name, telephone number, and electronic mail address of the Mayor, legislative body members, and the correct name, telephone number, and electronic mail address for the city’s appointed officials or employees who are serving in the following roles or substantially similar roles as of January 1 of each year:
            1.   City Clerk-Treasurer;
            2.   City Manager or Administrator;
            3.   City Attorney;
            4.   Human Resources Director;
            5.   Police Chief;
            6.   Fire Chief;
            7.   Public Works Director;
            8.   Risk Manager;
            9.   Information Technology Manager;
            10.   Public Relations or Communications Officer; and
            11.   Planning and Zoning Administrator.
         (b)   The correct name of the city, mailing address for city hall, and telephone number of the city hall; and
         (c)   The name and telephone number of either an elected or appointed official to serve as a contact person that may be reached during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

         (d)   Performance of all other duties and responsibilities required of the City Clerk-Treasurer by statute or other ordinances of the city.

      (5)   Keep journal of all city cash receipts and disbursements;
      (6)   Ensure proper and timely payment of all city debts to include accounts payable and bond/loan obligations;
      (7)   Complete reconciliation of cash balances form bank to city books on monthly basis; and
      (8)   Manage all city cash investments.
   (D)   The oath of office to be taken by the City Clerk-Treasurer shall be that set forth in Section 228 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
   (E)   Before entry into the duties of this office the City Clerk-Treasurer shall execute a public official bond to the city with a corporate surety authorized and qualified to become surety on bond in this state, in the amount of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00).
   (F)   The City Clerk-Treasurer shall be subject to and covered by all the personnel rules and regulations of the city as contained in the Employee Manual, including compensation, benefits, vacations, and disciplinary action.
   (G)   Compensation for the City Clerk-Treasurer is six hundred sixty-six dollars and thirty-three cents ($666.33) per week.
