It is the duty of the Joint Dispatch Board to oversee the operation of the dispatch services of the city and county governments. The Dispatch Board shall be responsible for the hiring and firing of all full- and part-time dispatchers, and shall see that any new employees are provided proper training on the equipment located in the dispatch office. The Board shall further schedule work hours and vacations in such a way as to provide continuous services around the clock on a year-round basis.
