It shall be the duty of law enforcement of this city to enforce all city ordinances. Officers are hereby authorized to direct all traffic personally or by means of visible or audible signals in conformance with the provisions of this traffic code.In the event of a fire or other emergency or to expedite traffic or safeguard pedestrians, law enforcement officers or Fire Department personnel may direct traffic as conditions may require notwithstanding the provisions of this traffic code.
