(A) The village shall provide access to public records as required by the State Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140/1 et seq., as amended.
(B) All requests for inspection or copies of public records must be submitted in writing in accordance with the Village Freedom of Information Act Policy, which Policy is available for inspection at the village’s primary office.
(C) The Village Board of Trustees hereby adopts the “Village of Flanagan Freedom of Information Act Policy” (“FOIA policy”) attached to the ordinance codified in this section as Exhibit A, which FOIA policy is intended to replace any policy previously approved by the Village Board regarding the implementation and administration of the State Freedom of Information Act. Said FOIA policy may be updated and modified to reflect any changes or modifications in the Act itself.
