§ 91.054 ANIMAL BITES.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of the owner or person having custody of any dog or other animal within the village limits, which animal is susceptible of carrying rabies which bites a person, to surrender such dog or animal immediately to the County Animal Control officials, or to deliver said dog or other animal within 24 hours to a licensed veterinarian for impounding at the expense of the owner.
   (B)   (1)   The Administrator and animal control wardens shall investigate all bites by dogs and other animals. In the event a non-inoculated animal bites a person, said animal shall be quarantined at the county pound for a period of ten days.
      (2)   Inoculated animals may be quarantined in the home of the owner if, after inspection by the animal control warden or Administrator, the facilities are deemed satisfactory for confinement.
