The Comprehensive Plan may be amended from time to time in accordance with the procedure set forth in IC 36-7-4-511 and 36-7-4-607, and as it may be amended by the Indiana General Assembly. However, the City Council may direct the Plan Commission to prepare an amendment and submit it to a public hearing within 60 days after the formal written request of the Council.
