§ 30.26 MAYOR'S ABSENCE.
   (A)   Pursuant to IC 36-4-5-9, whenever the Mayor is absent or going to be absent from the city, ill, or injured, he or she may designate the following as acting executive for a maximum of 15 days in any 60 day period:
      (1)   The deputy mayor, if that position has been established; or
      (2)   A member of the City Council.
   (B)   The designation of an acting executive shall be certified pursuant to IC 36-4-5-9.
