133.04 SCHOOL POLICEMEN.
(a) Establishment. The Director of Public Service-Safety is authorized and directed to establish a private police force to be known as the school police.
(b) Qualifications. Each person appointed as a School Policeman shall have the following qualifications: each School Policeman shall be twenty-one years of age or over at the time of appointment; shall furnish proof of physical ability to perform the duties of a School Policeman; shall be a resident of the City; and shall demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Service-Safety ability to handle and deal with children of school age.
(c) Not in Classified Service. The School Policemen authorized by subsections (a) and (b) hereof shall not be in the classified service of the City.

(d) School Crossings. The School Police shall direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic at the following intersections to be known as school crossings:
(1) North Main Street and Hillcrest Ave.
(2) North Main Street and Lexington Ave.
(3) North Main Street and Filmore Street.
(4) South Main Street and Lincoln Street.
(5) South Main Street and Lima Street.
(6) South Main Street and Sixth Street.
(7) North Blanchard Street and East Trenton Ave.
(8) Lincoln Street and South Cory Street.
(9) Broad Avenue at Lighted Crosswalk (provided by Findlay City Schools).

(e) Badges and Uniforms; Compensation. Each School Policeman shall wear badges, insignia and uniforms as prescribed by the Director of Public Service-Safety.
(f) Rules and Regulations. The Director of Public Service-Safety shall prescribe rules and regulations in regard to the organization of the School Police, the hours of duty, the method of reporting hours of duty and all other matters relating to the operation of the School Police.
