133.01 CLASSIFICATIONS AND COMPLEMENTS.

(a) The total complement of the Police Department shall be authorized up to seventy- nine (79) as set forth below and shall be classified as follows: one (1) Chief of Police; up to one (1) Captain of Police; up to three (3) lieutenants; up to nine (9) sergeants; and up to fifty-nine (59) police officers. In addition to the authorized complement of up to fifty-nine (59) police officers, up to an additional six (6) police officers can be hired to fill vacancies created by: upcoming retirements, military leave, and/or extended injury leave.

(b) The Police Department is authorized to employ up to twelve (12) radio dispatchers.
