957.01 PURPOSE.
   This Chapter is adopted to provide an ambulance/EMS plan for the City of Findlay by privately owned providers of ambulance/EMS services in response to 9-1-1 and other emergency calls. This plan will promote effective and efficient ambulance/EMS services, provide standards for licensing, inspection, and operation of ambulance/EMS in the City of Findlay and establish and implement fair and objective standards for ambulance/EMS services. This Chapter seeks to ensure that any provider of ambulance/EMS services to the City of Findlay continues to pursue clinical excellence through employee training and certification programs, quality assurance improvement programs and state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, this Chapter imposes accountability for standards of care through medical control, provisions for uninterrupted service and for response time performance and reliability. The following standards for licensing, inspection, and performance shall be considered the minimum requirements for any person[s] or entities to operate a privately owned emergency ambulance/EMS in the City of Findlay, Ohio.
