907.11 SIDEWALK CONTRACTOR; LICENSING AND BOND.
No person, firm or corporation, other than the owner of the abutting property, shall construct sidewalks in the City except under and by virtue of a license. The Mayor shall on application therefor, issue such license to any person for the period ending December 31 after the date thereof, on payment by the applicant of the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00), provided the following conditions exist:
(a) The person applying for the license is skilled and experienced in the construction of sidewalks.
(b) Such person has given a license and permit bond to the City, approved by the Mayor, in the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) conditioned that the licensee shall hold the City harmless from any and all damages that may result to any person or property because of any fault, neglect or default on the part of the licensee in the exercise of such occupation.
(c) Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
