905.08 RESPONSIBILITIES OF CITY ENGINEER.
   The City Engineer shall have the following responsibilities in the enforcement of this chapter.
   (a)   Shall determine what sidewalk construction can realistically be accomplished during any given construction season.
   (b)   Shall prepare the proper notice with the information as required so that the Council Clerk may cause said notice to be served on the affected property owners pursuant to Ohio R.C. 729.03.
   (c)   Shall supervise both survey and construction work to insure that the sidewalks are installed properly and pursuant to the proper plans and specifications as established by the City Engineer's office.
   (d)   Shall insure that sidewalks are installed in compliance with this chapter in regard to City-owned property.
   (e)   Shall insure that all bonding requirements as established herein and as currently existing in these Codified Ordinances are strictly enforced.
   (f)   Shall provide guidance with respect to request for variances.
   (g)   Shall review all variances two years following the year granted and each succeeding two years until sidewalks are installed.
