761.10 VEHICLE LICENSE NUMBERS; PAINTING ON TAXICABS.

Each vehicle licensed hereunder shall have a number assigned to it by the Mayor. This number shall appear in the license, and shall be fastened or suspended on the back of the front seat of each respective vehicle in a position easily visible to any passenger. The figures of the number shall be at least two inches in height. The same number shall be painted on each side and on the rear of the vehicle in a color in contrast to the color of the body of the vehicle in a permanent manner by painting or other like method in such a manner as not to become dim. The number shall be kept clean and in such condition to remain visible and in such location as to be plainly visible to a person at a distance of fifty feet, and shall be at least six inches in height.
