761.01 DEFINITION.

For the purposes of this chapter, "taxicab" means any motor vehicle whose owner or driver solicits, secures or accepts passengers for hire on hail or request on the public streets in the City. "Taxicab" does not include a vehicle such as a bus or other vehicle furnishing transportation to the public on a fixed schedule or route.
