705.02 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings ascribed to them respectively.
   (a)   "Cable television system" (sometimes referred to as a "CATV system" or "system") means a communications system of coaxial cables or other electrical conductors, equipment and appurtenances which is capable of receiving, transmitting and distributing sounds, pictures, writings, data, signals and other intelligence by electrical impulses, but which is used primarily to receive television or radio signals directly or indirectly off the air, and transmit them to subscribers for a fee.
   (b)   "Company" means the cable television franchise applicant selected by Council as franchisee, as well as the franchisee's successors and assigns.
