A. Public Works Department: There is hereby created the Department of Public Works to maintain all public works of the City and all other City property as set forth in this title. The Public Works Department shall have a Public Works Superintendent, who shall take charge of the operation and maintenance of all of the City public works and other property as set forth in this title.
B. Public Works Superintendent: The Public Works Superintendent shall be a full time employee of the City and shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council. All maintenance and repair of public streets, sidewalks and other public ways shall be under the supervision of the Public Works Superintendent. He or she shall be charged with the enforcement of all ordinance provisions relating to such public places (except Traffic Ordinances) and he or she is hereby authorized to enforce such ordinance provisions.
