A. Permit Required: It shall be unlawful to cause, create or maintain any obstruction of any street, sidewalk or other public place, except where it may be specified by ordinance or by the Public Works Superintendent. Any person, firm or corporation seeking permission to obstruct any street for any purpose shall obtain a permit from the Public Works Superintendent authorizing obstruction of the streets. (1995 Code § 5-1-103)
B. Exceptions:
1. Chairs may be lawfully set up on Main Street along the Fourth of July parade route at the times and places set forth in the City Streets Policy. (Ord. 14-04, 11-4-2014)
2. Chairs may be lawfully set up on Main Street or other designated parade routes for the Fourth of July parade route at the times and places set forth in the City Parade Policy. (Ord. 17-02, 3-16-2017)
