A. Due Date: All license fees for existing businesses shall be paid on or before December 31 of each calendar year. License fees shall be the same for new businesses, regardless of the date during that calendar year the license is obtained.
B. Amount Set By Policy: Business license fees shall be set through policy and may be amended from time to time by the City Council.
C. Additional Fees: In addition to the business license fee required for any business, specific types of businesses as set forth in this title shall be imposed additional fees to cover costs of additional regulation of those businesses. All additional license fees shall be set through policy by the City Council.
D. Exemptions: Businesses owned or primarily operated by physically or mentally handicapped individuals are hereby exempted from all the fees associated with business licensing, except any fee imposed pursuant to subsection C of this section. (Ord. 02-02, 2-5-2002)
E. Late Fees: Any business renewing a business license after December 31, shall be assessed a late fee that shall be set through policy and may be amended from time to time by the City Council. (Ord. 10-04, 8-17-2010)
