A. Specified: The term of a Library Advisory Board member shall be three (3) years, staggered so that three (3) terms expire each year.
B. Commencement Of Term: Terms for the Library Advisory Board members shall commence July 1 of each year.
C. Removal: Not withstanding the provisions of this section, the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council, may remove members of the Library Advisory Board before the expiration of any term.
D. Vacancy: Any vacancy in the Library Advisory Board that occurs as a result of the resignation or removal of a Library Advisory Board member shall be filled by appointment by the Mayor, with the consent of the City Council. A person filling that vacancy will fill the vacancy until the term expires.
E. Number Of Terms: Library Advisory Board members shall not serve more than two (2) full terms in succession. For purposes of this section, any Library Advisory Board member who fills the unexpired term of another shall not count the time spent filling the unexpired term as part of the board members' two (2) term service.
F. Reappointment Required: Notwithstanding the provision of this section, all Library Advisory Board members must be reappointed at the end of the first term of service to be eligible to serve a second term. (Ord. 99-12, 9-21-1999)
