Unless otherwise provided in this chapter, any person violating the provisions of this chapter, upon conviction, shall pay an infraction penalty of one hundred dollars ($100.00) plus court costs. The court may also order, upon conviction or plea of guilty of the defendant for the crime of dog at large or vicious dog, the surrender of the dog to the animal control office or police officer immediately for disposal, or the court may order that the violator post a bond or certificate of insurance in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00).
