It shall be a Class B misdemeanor, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code, for any person to establish or carry on any business, trade, profession or calling, to operate a vending, pinball or coin operated machine, to engage in the rental of apartments or trailer spaces, without first receiving the class or type of license required by the City. It shall be unlawful for any person, either directly or indirectly, to continue a business or nonprofit enterprise when a license pertaining thereto has been suspended or revoked. No license shall be issued to a person required to comply with any other law, regulation, or licensing requirements in the conduct of his business or nonprofit enterprise until the applicant demonstrates the fact of such compliance.
