A. The Division of Water Resources has been charged with the administration of the Utah Water Conservation Plan Act;
B. The Utah Water Conservation Plan Act (73-10-32, UCA) requires water conservancy districts and public water systems with more than five hundred (500) connections to submit Water Conservation Plans every five (5) years;
C. The Governor of Utah has announced a conservation goal to reduce two thousand (2,000) base per capita use by at least twenty-five percent (25%) by the year 2025;
D. Ferron City operates a culinary and secondary water system;
E. Ferron City Officials are concerned about water conservation and the pressing need to use water in an efficient manner, allowing for future sustained growth of the city;
F. The Ferron City Water Conservation Plan identifies ways to reduce the consumption of water;
G. The attached Ferron City Water Conservation Plan is adopted to meet the requirements of the Utah Water Conservation Plan Act (73-10-32, UCA). The plan will be amended no less than every five (5) years and will play a vital role in the future development of Ferron, Utah. (Res. 2013-9, 12-12-2013)
