During times of deployment of the head of a household into active duty overseas, the minimum amount billed on the utility bill for water, sewer, secondary water and garbage services will be waived.
In order to qualify for the waiver, the applicant shall be required to present to the City, evidence of the active duty status including the dates, duty station and location of active duty stationing of the individual known to be the head of the household.
The person requesting the waiver will be required to notify the City immediately, of the termination of the active duty of the person for whom the waiver is received. The City may terminate such waiver at any time that it is determined that the person receiving the waiver no longer meets the terms or intent expressed in this section. (Res. 2008-1, 3-13-2008; amd.
