8-1-3: STATEMENT OF CHARGES; DELINQUENCY:
   A.   Statement: The city treasurer shall mail a statement stating thereon the amount of water services and other utility charges assessed each month. The statement shall specify the amount of the bill for all services, place of payment, and date due. (Res. 2001-13, 7-10-2001, eff. 8-1-2001)
   B.   Failure To Pay; Late Charges: Payments on utility accounts will be due on the twentieth day of each month and considered late and assessed late fees if not paid by the last day of the month. Delinquent accounts will be subject to discontinuance of services after the tenth day of the following month and the customer shall pay the past due amount, late fee and associated reconnect fees prior to the restoration of service. Notice of delinquency and intent to disconnect will be printed on the utility bill and no further written notice may be given. (Res. 2012-3, 5-10-2012, eff. 5-10-2012)
   C.   Discontinued Service: If the water service is thereafter discontinued for failure to make payment, then before the water service to the premises shall again be provided, all delinquent water charges must have been paid to the city treasurer or arrangements made for their payment in a manner satisfactory to the city. In the event water is turned off for nonpayment of water charges, then before the water service to the premises shall again be provided, the customer shall pay, in addition to all delinquent water charges, such extra charge for turning the water on and off as the city council may have established by resolution. The city treasurer is hereby authorized and empowered to enforce the payment of all delinquent water charges by an action at law in the name of the city. (Ord. 2011-2, 4-28-2011)
