Each active Fire Department Officer, after achieving the proper levels to become eligible, will be paid the maximum amount of three hundred and fifty dollars ($350.00) in December of each year to cover damage to personal clothing during emergency fire calls. All other active Fire Department members that are eligible will receive a maximum amount of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00). A Fire Department member must serve on the Department for a minimum of one (1) year before being eligible to receive the clothing allowance reimbursement. The maximum amount to be paid out will be reflected in the annual Fire Department fiscal year budget which must be reviewed prior to submitting the request for payment. It shall be the responsibility of the Fire Chief to submit a list of members eligible to receive the reimbursement to the City Recorder each December. (Res. 2012-4, 5-10-2012)
