City officers must take an oath of office in substantially the following form before taking office. “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) to support the constitutions of the United States, the State of Minnesota, and the Charter of the City of Fergus Falls and to discharge faithfully the duties of (title of position) the City of Fergus Falls to the best of my judgment and ability.”
