§ 31.40 CITY ATTORNEY.
   The Council shall appoint a City Attorney, together with assistants as may be necessary, who shall serve at the pleasure of the Council. The City Attorney shall perform duties as are required of him or her by law or referred to him or her by the Council or its agent. It shall be the official duty of the City Attorney to act as revisor of ordinances.
