§ 71.01 SIZE, WEIGHT AND LOAD RESTRICTIONS.
   (A)   Prohibitions. It is unlawful for a person to drive or move or for the owner to cause or knowingly permit to be driven or moved, on a street a vehicle or vehicles of a size or weight exceeding the limitations stated in M.S. §§ 169.80 to 169.88, as they may be amended from time to time.
   (B)   Exemptions. The City Engineer, upon application in writing and good cause being shown therefor, is hereby empowered to issue a special permit authorizing the applicant to move a vehicle or combination of vehicles of a size and weight of vehicle or load exceeding the maximum specified in this traffic code, or otherwise not in conformity with the provisions of this traffic code, upon any street.
   (C)   Permit fee. The fee for the special permit to move a vehicle or combination of vehicles of a size and weight of vehicle or load in excess of the maximum specified in this traffic code shall be adopted by resolution of the Council and may be amended from time to time in the same manner.
